Speed Quest Officially Joins the Access 2 Program: Racing Made More Accessible

At Speed Quest, we believe that everyone deserves the thrill of racing, regardless of ability. That’s why we’re excited to announce our official partnership with the Access 2 Card program, making our track even more accessible to people with disabilities and their support workers.

While Speed Quest has been unofficially accepting Access 2 Cards since opening in 2022, we’re now making this inclusive initiative official, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to experience the excitement of kart racing with ease.

What is the Access 2 Card?

The Access 2 Card program provides people with disabilities the ability to enjoy a range of recreational experiences with the help of a support worker, who gains free or discounted admission. The cardholder pays the standard admission fee, while the support worker can access the venue at no charge. This makes activities such as movies, museums, and now, kart racing, more accessible and affordable.

Speed Quest is thrilled to be a part of this initiative and to help foster a more inclusive environment. By making our involvement official, we’re reinforcing our commitment to accessibility and ensuring that all guests, regardless of ability, can enjoy the adrenaline of our racing track.

How the Program Works at Speed Quest

If you’re an Access 2 Cardholder, you can now officially enjoy Speed Quest’s facilities with the peace of mind that your support worker races for free. Here’s how it works:

  • Step 1: Present your valid Access 2 Card when purchasing your race ticket.
  • Step 2: The Access 2 cardholder will pay the standard admission fee for the race.
  • Step 3: The support worker, who assists the cardholder, will race at no charge.
  • Step 4: Both the cardholder and support worker must attend and participate together.

This program covers all support needs, whether it’s assisting with navigating the facility, helping with gear, or ensuring active participation in the race.

What is a Support Worker?

A support worker can be anyone who assists a person with a disability in fully enjoying their racing experience. Whether it’s helping with physical needs, communicating with staff, or assisting during the race, the support worker plays an essential role in making the event accessible and enjoyable.

Support tasks may include:

  • Wayfinding within the venue.
  • Assisting with helmets and safety gear.
  • Ensuring active participation in races.
  • Helping with personal needs, such as medication or meals.

At Speed Quest, we aim to make sure that both the Access 2 cardholder and their support worker have the best experience possible.

Speed Quest’s Commitment to Accessibility

Speed Quest has always believed in providing inclusive and fun experiences for all. Since opening our doors in 2022, we have quietly supported Access 2 Cardholders by offering free admission to their support workers. However, by officially joining the Access 2 Card program, we are reaffirming our commitment to an inclusive environment, making it clear that everyone is welcome to enjoy the track.

Our goal is simple: to ensure that racing is not just fast and fun but also accessible to everyone in our community. With this official partnership, we’re taking our dedication to inclusion to the next level.
